Torrance, CA…17 May
2001…Telemobile – Wireless Rural Communication Solutions, through it’s
ongoing relationship with The United States Telecommunications
Training Institute (USTTI), is sponsoring a week long tuition-free
telecom training event June 25-29, 2001 focusing on wireless rural telecommunications
planning for developing countries worldwide.
Vice President of Marketing Dan Thomas pointed out; "This is our tenth
consecutive year of participation, bringing qualified individuals from
several developing countries the most up-to-date technological advances
for wireless rural telecommunications systems planning and implementation."
Telemobile is actively supporting the international efforts to bridge
the “Digital Divide” and help provide equipment that extends “Universal
Access” for Internet service and telephone access worldwide.
This follows the announcement by the International
Telecommunications Union (ITU) for the Internet Training Centers Initiative
for Developing Countries (ITCI-DC), a multi-million dollar project for
developing countries recently announced for this World Telecommunication
Day, 17 May 2001.
Telemobile’s training will be held in the Los Angeles metropolitan area
near their Torrance, CA World Headquarters location.
